The Story Inside Me — Grounded Voices Children’s & Youth Programme

Last updated: June 2026

These terms apply to all children’s and youth programmes offered by Grounded Voices, including The Story Inside Me in its various formats: holiday programmes, school programmes, private group sessions, and community or church programmes.

By completing a Children’s Programme Enquiry Form, making a booking, or allowing your child to participate in a Grounded Voices programme, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

1. About the Programme

The Story Inside Me is a creative communication programme for children and youth. It uses drama, storytelling, breath work, and body awareness to help young people understand and express their emotions, build communication confidence, and develop self-regulation skills in a safe, structured environment.

Programmes are facilitated by Grounded Voices under the leadership of Asanda Mantombazana and are designed to be engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate.

2. Eligibility and Age

The Story Inside Me is designed for children and youth aged [insert age range]. Where a child’s age or developmental stage may affect their suitability for a specific programme, we will discuss this with the parent or guardian before confirming a place.

3. Parental or Guardian Consent

A parent or legal guardian must complete all enquiry and booking forms on behalf of a child. By submitting an enquiry or booking form, the parent or guardian confirms that:

  • They have the authority to act on behalf of the child
  • They consent to the child’s participation in the programme
  • The information provided is accurate and complete
  • They have disclosed any relevant access, support, or medical requirements that may affect the child’s participation

Grounded Voices will contact the parent or guardian directly for all programme-related communication.

4. Safeguarding and Child Safety

The safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is our first priority. Grounded Voices is committed to:

  • Maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive programme environment
  • Collecting only the personal information necessary to manage the programme and support each child’s participation
  • Not sharing children’s personal information with third parties beyond what is required to deliver the programme
  • Not adding children’s information to marketing lists
  • Ensuring all facilitation is conducted in age-appropriate and professionally appropriate ways

Grounded Voices reserves the right to remove a child from a programme if their behaviour is harmful to themselves or other participants. In such cases, the parent or guardian will be contacted immediately.

5. Medical, Allergy, and Support Information

It is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities, or support requirements that may affect the child’s participation or safety. This information will be treated with strict confidentiality and used only to ensure the child’s wellbeing during the programme.

Grounded Voices is not a medical or therapeutic service. Our programmes are developmental and creative in nature. If a child requires therapeutic support beyond our scope, we will communicate this openly with the parent or guardian.

6. Supervision and Drop-Off

Children are the responsibility of the parent or guardian outside of scheduled programme hours. Grounded Voices will communicate venue details, arrival and collection times, and supervision arrangements to confirmed participants before the programme begins.

Children will only be released into the care of the parent, guardian, or another adult who has been pre-authorised in writing by the parent or guardian. Please notify us in advance if someone other than a parent or guardian will be collecting your child.

7. Photography and Video

Grounded Voices may wish to photograph or record sessions for programme documentation, training purposes, or social media content. No images or recordings of children will be used without the explicit written consent of the parent or guardian.

You will be asked to indicate your photo and video consent preference when completing the enquiry form. Final consent will be confirmed in a separate written form before the programme begins. You may withdraw consent at any time.

8. Bookings, Payment, and Cancellations

Places in children’s programmes are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-confirmed basis. A place is confirmed only once the booking form and required payment have been received.

Cancellation terms for children’s programmes are set out in the Grounded Voices Refund & Cancellation Policy. Please refer to that document for full details.

If a child is unable to attend due to illness or another unforeseen circumstance, please contact us as soon as possible at info@groundedvoices.co.za.

9. Personal Information and Privacy

All personal information relating to children is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Children’s information is treated with heightened care and is not used for marketing purposes.

Please review our full Privacy Policy at groundedvoices.co.za/privacy-policy for more detail.

10. Changes to the Programme

Grounded Voices reserves the right to make changes to programme content, dates, venue, or facilitation arrangements where necessary. We will communicate any material changes to confirmed participants as soon as possible.

If a programme is cancelled by Grounded Voices, registered participants will be offered a full refund or a place in a future programme.
